Summary
In short: DownloadPins requires no account, sets no advertising cookies, builds no tracking profiles, and does not sell personal data. We collect the minimum technical data needed to operate the tool securely, pin links you submit and basic server logs, and delete or anonymize logs when no longer needed.
What we collect
- Pin links you submit. When you paste a Pinterest link into the downloader, our server fetches that public pin page to find the media file. Submitted URLs may appear in operational, error, or security logs used to keep the service running.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our servers log IP addresses, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps for security and diagnostics. We use this data to prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and keep the service stable.
- Contact emails. If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply. We do not add you to any mailing list.
- What we don’t collect. No accounts, no passwords, no payment details, no advertising profiles. We do not use third-party analytics that fingerprint visitors.
Cookies
DownloadPins uses a minimal set of cookies:
- Cloudflare security cookie (__cf_bm), protects the site from bots and abuse. Set by our CDN provider, Cloudflare.
- LiteSpeed Cache cookies, help pages load faster by caching content. No personal data is stored in them.
- WordPress admin cookies, only set for site administrators who log in; regular visitors never receive these.
We set no advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies ourselves. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the downloader tool will still work.
Embedded content and outbound links
Our site links only to our own pages. We do not embed third-party content or link out to external sites, so your browsing here stays between you and DownloadPins.
How we use data
We use collected data only to: operate and secure the downloader tool; diagnose errors and prevent abuse; respond to your messages; and comply with legal obligations such as our DMCA Policy. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to anyone.
Data retention
Server and security logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and security, then deleted or anonymized. We do not retain copies of media files you download, each request is processed on demand. Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.

We share personal data only when necessary: with infrastructure providers that help us run the site (Cloudflare for security/CDN, our hosting provider for servers), or when required by law. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
International visitors

Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request a copy of personal data we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. To exercise these rights, contact us via our Contact page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

DownloadPins is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
